In the summer of 2019, Rebecca worked in the Weston Game Lab as a quest designer, playtester, and netprov writer for the award-winning alternate reality game Terrarium. In character as an intern at the fictional Fourcast Lab, she interacted with incoming University of Chicago students, guiding them through quests and interactive experiences designed to teach them about climate change. The team she led, team Nudged!, actually ended up winning the Futures Design Challenge, a University of Chicago competition where teams of students presented their ideas to combat climate change. She also credits this project with giving her a love for puzzle design!

In October 2020, Terrarium won the IndieCade award for Location Based and Live Play Design. Check out the winners here.
